A NEMIGEN podcast one 8-part conversation series, which examines everyday stereotypes affecting women. The series Interreg Danube Region Programme WIN project produced as part of, with the aim of helping to recognise and nuance, through real-life situations, the preconceptions that influence our decisions, relationships and opportunities.
The purpose of the format is not the recitation of “statements”, but real dilemmas and patterns unpacking it together – honestly, with humour, and expert perspectives.

What is the miniseries about?
Every episode of NOT REAL turns a “classic” phrase or ingrained mindset inside out: what it actually means, where it comes from, and how it affects us – at home, in the workplace, in relationships, and as parents.
Episode themes:
Traditional gender roles in the household – and changes in the modern family model
„Women don't understand technology/finance/cars” – intellectual prejudices
Female leaders and prejudice – the myth of „bossiness”
Parental roles and the sharing of tasks – „raising the child is a woman's job”
Appearance and self-esteem – „you are only valuable if you are young, attractive and well-groomed”
Women and rationality – „they are not rational enough, they cannot make decisions”
Career and family – the pressure to choose and the role of support
The stereotype of „manipulation” – emotional blackmail, power dynamics, decisions
