The development of sustainable tourism and hospitality requires the informed participation of all stakeholders, as well as strong political leadership to ensure widespread participation and consensus-building. The hospitality industry will become more sustainable through the circularity of SMEs and their ecosystem.
Led by DDRIÜ, the Circular SME Scan in Hospitality (CSS-H) increases and encourages joint action across the entire value chain by providing tools and materials to enhance circular cooperation throughout the chain. The CSS-H equips (micro-)SME owners, managers and employees with the knowledge, skills and competences needed to become more circular through the development of an evidence-based self-diagnosis tool that guides them towards specific knowledge most relevant to their position and business, not only in terms of their own internal processes, but also regarding their place in the value chain (and its processes), which requires coordinated (local) action with other actors in the chain.
