The Hungarian educational week for the Spanish presenters of the pilot action developed for knowledge transfer and sharing purposes within the framework of the Regions 4Food project took place between 28 September 2022 and 1 October 2022.
The presenters of the four-day hybrid (in-person and online) training were lecturers and researchers from the University of Seville, who shared their knowledge and practical experience in the following subject areas:
- geomatics, drones: Orly Enrique Apolo-Apolo,
- smart irrigation management: Luis Sanchez,
- robotics, 3D: Dionisio Andujar,
- precision farming and information technology: Manuel Perez (professor and programme director),
- data analysis: Jorge Martinez,
- innovation challenges: Andrea Ojembarrena,
- Smart monitoring: Manuel Perez.
As part of the above thematic presentations, Zsolt Pálmai, representing the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency, presented the good practices of the Regions 4Food project related to the given topic.
On the final day of the training, domestic research institutions, agricultural enterprises, and solution providers presented their relevant experiences in connection with the above topics. The speakers represented the Szent István Campus of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE), the Centre for Agricultural Research, Eötvös Loránd University, Farkas Kft., ABZ Drón Kft., Agrovir Kft., and Magtár Kft.
Regarding the organisation of the education week, we would hereby like to express our thanks to the staff of MATE: Dr Bernadett Kovács, Dr Diána Koponicsné Györke and Szabina Zakar.
With the conclusion of the educational phase of the pilot action, alongside the simultaneous evaluation of practical educational experiences, the development of the higher education professional recommendation begins. The essence of this professional proposal is to enable other Hungarian higher education institutions to launch integrated-style digitalisation and modern master's programmes, similar to the Spanish example.
