The South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency (STRIA) is participating in the Medtech4 Europe Interreg Europe project, of which the University of Pécs (UP) has also been a partner since phase 2. STRIA developed and submitted the pilot action plan for Medtech4 Europe in collaboration with the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) and the UP. Among the UP's ongoing proprietary projects are biomedical engineering developments and the fields of spectroscopy and microscopy, which contribute to the elaboration of the pilot action plan. The aim of this is to test the feasibility of adapting the French good practice identified in the Medtech4 Europe project—the CEA Technological Innovation Showroom—to Hungary.
Between 30 September and 1 October 2022, Researchers' Night was held, hosted by the University of Pécs Medical School. The event welcomed visitors with 19 venues, 249 programmes and 162 contributors.
Researchers' Night is a free series of events organised across Europe to promote science and researchers' careers. This year, too, you can get a glimpse into the secrets of various scientific fields on the last weekend of September.
Through entertaining, inspiring lectures, experiments, laboratory tours and other playful programmes, visitors of all ages can get to know many new results of scientific research. Initiated by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions of the European Commission, the main goal of the event is to make the diverse work of researchers and developers attractive to young people – both boys and girls.
As part of the pilot project, the University of Pécs (PTE) gave a presentation entitled „Interactive Demonstration of Super-Resolution Microscopy Using a Mobile Showroom”. During the demonstration, various aspects of super-resolution microscopy were presented across four sub-locations within a specially constructed mobile showroom.
The Medtech4 Europe project is implemented within the Interreg Europe Programme, co-financed by the European Union and the Hungarian State.
