Dr Yvette Vargáné Gálicz has been working at the Central Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency since 2023, where she is primarily involved in the preparation, coordination and implementation of digitalisation and innovation projects.
With over fifteen years of experience in preparing domestic and European Union grant applications and managing development projects, he/she has actively participated in the implementation of the region's infrastructural, cultural and tourism developments during his/her previous work. His/her professional interests are primarily related to regional and tourism development, digitalisation, innovation, and the integration of environmental and climate protection aspects into developments.
She graduated with a degree in economics specialising in tourism and hotel management, followed by a master's degree in international economy and business, and also completed training as a climate officer. She obtained her doctoral degree in regional sciences in 2024, with her research examining the regional role of tourism developments. In her work, she strives to ensure that research results, development policy aspects, and practical project implementation contribute to the development of the region in a mutually reinforcing way.
