During the one-day programme participants gained insight into the intelligent logistics and automation solutions of the company near Graz, which make the operation of corporate value chains efficient to an unprecedented degree.
Throughout the day, participants in the programme were able to enrich themselves with numerous interesting and valuable experiences. In the first part of the visit, József Veisz, Managing Director of Knapp Hungary Kft., presented the Knapp Group. KNAPP AG is an internationally recognised company that develops and manufactures intelligent logistics systems for a wide range of industries (pharmaceuticals, fashion, manufacturing, retail and wholesale, etc.). The group of companies not only produces goods, but also develops the software for them, thereby providing a comprehensive service to its clients. At the heart of KNAPP's corporate philosophy is innovation. As early as the 1950s, the company's founder, Günter Knapp, was coming up with solutions that revolutionised the warehousing processes of the time. This commitment to innovation has been maintained to this day, with the company management placing great emphasis on R&D activities. The goal is to provide simple, efficient, safe and economical technologies and automation solutions for the entire value chain.
The Austrian-headquartered company now has 49 locations and more than 8,300 employees worldwide.
A Knapp Hungary Kft. Established in 2021, it has since become a key member of the Knapp Group. At their site in Nemesvámos, they manufacture conveyor systems that are used in numerous logistics centres worldwide. The Hungarian plant its main activity is mechanical and electronic assembly, which plays a key role in the company's global supply chain. Following the philosophy of the parent company, the Hungarian unit also places emphasis on innovation and efficiency, continually seeking new solutions to optimise logistics and manufacturing processes.
