I3-4-BIOFERTILIZERS

The overall goal of the project is to promote more sustainable agriculture while focusing on the development and market uptake of innovative bio-fertilizers and bioeconomy solutions.

One of the project's key components is the design and demonstration of eight investment and business models, each aiming to develop new types of bio-fertilizers (including biostimulants) and sustainable agricultural solutions. At the same time, the initiative provides funding support for 30 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups to help them overcome existing market and technological barriers. In addition to financial resources, beneficiaries will receive technical, business, and innovation advisory support, assisting them in the effective implementation of their projects.

Furthermore, I3-4-BIOFERTILIZERS offers capacity-building, investment readiness, and market access support to regional ecosystem stakeholders, with a particular focus on SMEs. The project places a strong emphasis on strengthening interregional cooperation, knowledge exchange, and best practices sharing.

To ensure the long-term impact of the initiative, an Excellence Competence Centre will be established, providing continuous innovation and financial advisory services for SMEs and regions. This collaborative hub will contribute to enhancing interregional competitiveness, reducing disparities between developed and less developed regions, and supporting the emergence of new Regional Innovation Valleys focused on circular and sustainable agriculture.
